Hello everyone, new to the forum after lurking for some-time. I'm a born again bow hunter. Growing up in Wisconsin, I heard the stories regarding "the good old days" of deer drives, the orange army, and walking uphill in the snow both ways. My Grandpa was a big influence on me and my father figure, and he never wanted any part of Wisconsin because it wasn't what it used to be. Instead, we hunted west. In my teens and early twenties I was fortunate to harvest two trophy mule deer and a bull elk with a rifle, in Colorado and Montana. Got out of school, made some money, and Grandpas influence was there, but started to wear off. Thank goodness I wasn't sour towards Wisconsin Hunting anymore. Bought a bow, practiced, practiced and practiced some more. Come archery season I had my first encounter with buck under my stand and the adrenaline was greater than I had ever felt with iron in my hands. The rifles are now conversation pieces, I'm hooked for life, and will be chasing Whitetails for years to come. I didn't know what I was missing out on, but better late than ever. Happy and Safe hunting to all. Jordan
