I have been bow hunting for many years and have watched bow hunt or die for a long time but just recently started looking at the site. I am a Criminal Investigator at a Sheriffs Office here in Georgia and don't get a whole lot of time off. When I do I love to be in the woods no matter what its for. Hope everyone has a great season and I hope to get back at it after this hurricane clears out.

Bulloch County/ Statesboro. Do you hunt Fort Stewart? I have wanted to try it for years but haven't ever filled out the application for it.

Hello from NW GA! If you do hunt for Stewart, let me know how it goes. I have thought about making a trip down there

The archery only areas are just thin pine trees. I wasn't impressed and have seen more signs out in the nearby WMAs plus all the excess bs to hunt on post with additional license and trying to line up a time to do the archery qualification to be allowed to bowhunt on base.

I guess I won't bother with it then. I have several pieces of private land I hunt so I wouldn't go there much anyway if I did get everything I needed. If you haven't tried it Bug Dukes pond Natural Area in Jenkins County is a great place as well for turkeys and deer. You have to do a good bit of walking to get away from where other people hunt but it has paid off for me.

I'll have to check that out sometime. Probably just going to hunt Richmond Hill WMA archery areas this season since I won't have much time to hunt thanks to Army training coming up.
