Hi guys, I'm somewhat of a newbie, getting back into bow hunting after a 8 year break. I grew up with a bow in my hand shooting non stop almost every day. I started bow hunting seriously in the early 70's and took deer, bear, pheasants, ducks, geese, rabbits, until I quit back in 2005. I shot tournament archery through the 80/90's, both indoor and outdoor, until a serious car wreck ended my archery carreer. After years of healing and rehabs I've started shooting again (can't stay away from it ) , I'm still only able to draw a light weight bow, but it's getting better and better. During my time away from bowhunting I started building turkey calls and have turned that hobbie into a business, now I need to get back into bowhunting and take a bird with a bow. The last bow I shot was a custom made bow by Hoyt that I was able to shoot after my accedent until my shoulder gave out completely. So now it's back to learning everything back over again, which is why I say I'm a newbie, but I'll make it happen some how.
Welcome back to the addiction! I just got back into bowhunting last year myself, and tons of great info and advice on here!
