I have been lurking around here reading a bunch of info before I got my bow.I wanted to thank all of you for the great info. You all helped me a lot

I had a bow as a boy/teen but had the bug for guns so I got out of it. I decided to get back into archery to hunt some of the big Saskatchewan White tails around here. just not much of a challenge with a rifle once you get good with one.

here is a pic of my new rig, it is a 70 lbs Bear Carnage shadow set at 30 inch draw, with a QAD ultrarest hdx (black), a five pin wrapped Spot hogg Real Deal, An AXT carbon helix five arrow quiver (black), 3/16 g5 peep

I am using a Scott sabertooth dual caliper release and Carbon Express 350 Maxima hunter arrows

I live on a 3000 acre farm and have lots of family with more land then us so I have about 20,000 acres of private land to hunt on....is that enough????? lol

Nice! Driven through Moose Jaw a few times on my way to Alberta. Hunting in Saskatchewan a few times as well, but north of you quite a bit. Blaine Lake and Meadow Lake areas.

there are lots of big bucks down here, lots of guys go up north but there is a lot of hunting pressure up there compared to here the Max number of tags for any zone is 250 and there are only three zones in the province that high 42,43 and us....zone 1

here is a pic of a few white tails taken from the front yard, that heard stays there ALL winter, most winters. It is quite remote out here. the landscape is totally different five miles south. much bigger hills and brush

    That's a bunch!

Unfortunately, as a non-resident, I'm restricted to the northern part of the province. I would absolutely love to hunt some giant mulies in the southern part of SK.

Welcome to the site! Think that is the first Bear that I have seen that I like. Looks like you have some major peep twisting though.

yeah, if I hooked up my peep to a turbine I could solve the worlds energy needs. I just got it so my string is breaking in(I am assuming). I have a friend who`s whole family is into archery told me he had a tool that could help me with that. I hope so
