Hello from North Carolina

    New to the forum and I'm interested in learning whats new and and working well in the archery world. I've been a deer hunter for most of my life, but got into duck hunting several years ago and directed all of my spare time towards that pursuit. Started back deer hunting sparingly and went last year about 15-20 times and hunted by myself or with friends. Long and the short of it was I didn't feel there was a challenge involved in shooting a deer with a rifle or high tech muzzle loader.

    I've decided to bow hunt for deer this year. I have just sold my Matthews Z-Max I bought new in '97 and have ordered a Bow Tech 340 Destroyer. Planning on shooting 100 grain expandables off of an Octane Hostage Pro rest and a Trophy Ridge or Hot Dot sight.

    I am new here and from NC also. What area of NC do you live?? I am outside of Salisbury and enjoy meeting bow hunters and archers alike. I own an archery range here now. Anyways, glad to see another Carolina Boy on here.
