Hi folks. I'm a long-time Bowhunter, long-time viewer of Bowhunt or Die, but new to the forum. I grew up in Michigan and deer hunted since I was 14, bowhunted since I was 22. I'm now living in Tennessee, near Nashville. There is very little public land here, and private land is hard to get permission on, but once you get a place to hunt, our limit is two bucks per year and three does PER DAY. Go figure. Anyway, I look forward to some time on this forum shooting the bull. I promise to keep it clean and post some pictures when I have something to share.
Welcome Jakeway! I can relate to you.. grew up and now live in Michigan, and also lived in Nashville for 3 years. Hunting the hills is way different that the flatlands up here, but it adds an element to the hunt. One you figure it out it, you may like it more. I found some big chunks of public land(20,000+ acres) west of Nashville 40 minutes or so. Get a state/county map and check some of it out!
Howdy, I'm close to Nashville as well. I go to Lansing MI every year for a golf scramble event in memory of a friend killed in Iraq in 06.I really enjoy going up, the scenery is great and the weather late august is a relief from this Tennessee humidity. I hunt private land and never had to hunt the public stuff so I can not tell you good places to hunt. I can offer what ever information I have though. This forum is great, its pretty well maintained and there is not too many nit wits around here. Welcome aboard.
