    Hi all, newb hunter here from Long Island, NY, Just getting started and learning all I can about this fine sport. Lots of great info on this site, really learning alot.

    Thank you very much, I'm located in eastern suffolk county. I'm just learning archery so haven't gone hunting yet. Figured this season I will just practice and next season hit the woods. Will probably be going on public land here in suffolk.

    Thank you I'm learning a lot already!

    Archery Forum and Smith Point Archery....Those are the places I go to mostly. Great people and great customer service at both. As far as practicing, I shoot in my backyard a good amount where there are 3d deer and hog targets, as well as some blocks and shooting bags. Both shops above have indoor ranges. Another great place where we shoot and are in leagues at is The Thrill of the Hunt 3-D Archery Course. Check it out, its a fun time and great practice.
