So I need to refletch some of my arrows and I am looking at buying a jig and doing it myself to save in the long haul. My only question is what do you guys prefer as far as a arrangement for your vanes and why? Helical or straight?

I do right hand offset. From what I have read you get the spinning stabilization and accuracy, but don't lose any speed. I guess helical is a little too much rotation to the point of drag.

Get a jig and do it. Its really simple, just take your time and follow the directions.

I used right hand offset when I used my drop always but I have to use straight for the WB.

I shoot a right 3 degree helical. I use a QAD HDX drop away. Fixed blades fly great this way IMO.

Now when you do a right hand offset are you still using Blazer vanes or do you use a different type according to the link you posted? Just wondering if you would get similar results with the Blazer Vanes.

I do straight offset blazers with a fb hellrazor@304fps. Great groups, no issues.
