I shot this buck after a personally trying year. I was not excited about taking the buck at all and actually wasn't going to mount it. The buck was the heavyist weight whitetail I've ever taken in Ohio. Looking back I'm glad I had my best friend go ahead and mount it. I'll call him Jacob's buck since he was the first buck I took after my 18 year old son passed away at West Point Military Academy from a heat stroke last July 21st. Jacob's buck
Nice buck. So sorry to hear about your son. That cant be easy at all. Wish you the best and wish you and your family didnt have to go through that. Praying for your family.
First let me say that I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I can't begin to imagine losing a child. It is a great buck for sure and maybe you can look at it and remember the good times with your son. I will say a prayer for your family. Blessings.......Pastorjim
I'm sorry for the loss of your son. That's the very definition of tragedy. My heart goes out to you and your family. Congrats on the buck. He's a dandy... excellent mass. Which county is he from, if you don't mind my asking?
Sorry to hear about the loss of your son. As a fellow parent I can not imagine losing one of my children prior to me. I lost my sibling when I was young and still talk about her today 30+ years later. Last year you (at least I think it was you!) sent me via e-mail a large document that was very beneficial in my continued learning of the art of deer hunting. You provided exceptional information on scrapes and hunting them. Very nice buck....everytime you look at him I assume he will remind you of your son. Welcome back!
jacobs buck is a bute. I wish you the best and hope that and your family are doing better after your terrible loss
Jacob's Buck is amazing...all I could see was Jealousy written over every pic haha! I would like to also extend how sorry I am for your family's loss. Prayers will be sent and continue to be sent for healing. I would also like to thank your son for being willing to go to West Point with the future planned on serving myself and other citizens in the US...it doesn't matter how or where his life met it's end: he died a hero.
