Well he was eight foot tall, weighed 2000 pounds. With every step there was sh-shaking of the ground.
I worked at a sport shop in the mid 80s in Dunn county WI. I guy brought in a buck. I weighed it and it was 255 pounds dressed. Biggest I have seen.
I shot a Mule Deer in Alberta last year. Field dressed in weighed 320lbs. The Non-Typical Rack scored 210 B & C
301lbs. Live weight. Shot 11/1/12 in central Illinois. Shot another one in the same farm in 2010 that was 290lbs. Sent from my C5170 using Tapatalk
This is the first year I've passed deer and actually dedicated myself to hunt mature deer only. All my deer are usually in the 150 lbs range, this year I am still empty handed.
I love listening to weight quotes from other hunters...it's the only thing that is over exaggerated possibly more than fish size and manhood size We've never really cared to weigh our deer sadly, just estimated.
we use a game scale that hangs .... dunno exactly how accurate IT is .... but I'm thinking it's an approximation....
Buck 200 and doe 140, both verified by the scale. Both seemed like absolute pigs, fortunately the buck was an easy drag, unfortunately the doe wasn't due to it being pitch black out and pouring rain through a swamp.
estimated heaviest was around 205 -210lb, but never officially weighed.... just estimate by butcher with it hanging next to 190lb deer. Heaviest confirmed dressed weight deer for me is 186lb.
Measured his chest and checked online on one of them charts, said 191 dressed. Not sure how accurate them things are though, really thought he was heavier then that. Will own a scale going forward though.
I've noticed that most of you guys in the USA have giant racked deer with smaller bodies then I'm used to. most likely because your way more educated then what most of the hunters are in Ontario Canada with QDMA. we seem to get a deer every year on the scales dressed out over 200lbs biggest was 266lbs none of these deer scored over 130" they just all have massive bodies Dan
