    Alright archery experts,

    Lately i have been wanting to switch to heavier arrows for hunting because I recently got a range finder and I don't have to worry about judging distances as much. However, I was wondering if there was much of a difference between shooting a slightly heavier arrow or shooting a heavier (125 grain) broadhead, besides price. Wouldnt a heavier broadhead be similar to Carbon Express's "weight forward technology" and allow for better arrow flight? What is everyones opinion and why.

    Draw weight= 65#'s
    Draw length= 28"
    Bow= QS33
    arrow= carbon express maxima 350
    broadhead/tip= G5 montec/100 grain

    Thanks for your help,
    Matt

    Post up your draw weight, length, & what you are shooting now for an arrow/head. The BH.com gurus will then be able to offer up the best suggestions.

    You won't notice a difference w a 25 grn heavier head. Switching arrows would be the better option with your goal in mind.

    I shoot an arrow around 500 grns and love it. Makes your now quieter, and literally rocks the target when the arrows hit compared to the lighter arrows I used before.

    I'm all for a quieter bow too. Do you also shoot a 125 grain beadhead with your heavy arrow or do you shoot 100 grain?
