Somewhat apprehensive about posting this for fear of where it might go, but why not?

    Has anyone read this book?

I just finished it (came recommended by my wife after it was the first book she purchased on her Kindle).

Very interesting. Left me with some serious questions, but also skeptically amazed with other aspects. I won't delve into it too much unless anyone else has read it other than to say, regardless of your beliefs, it's worth the read. It's short, and it's an easy read (I'm not a big reader and I finished it in three evenings).

MGH, thank you for the book suggestion. I am going to be ordering some books here today or tomorrow and might just pick it up. Thanks.

Since you read it, could you give us a summary? Is it just someones thoughts or a religious study book?

It's a non-fictional (yes I know plenty of you will debate this and question me on this, but it IS portrayed as a non-fictional account) story of a young boy (he's almost 4 when this happens) who claims he has near death experience while on the operating table (won't get into too much details here). The story is told through the father (he's a pastor, and they are, I believe, Protestant) as the boy slowly tells of what he saw there (it takes a year or so for much of the details to come out from the boy. Much of what he sees and describes is astonishingly accurate, and way beyond the comprehension abilities of a child his age, no matter how much religion is a part of his life being a pastor's son.

I really can't go into too much detail about it all since I really don't want to ruin it for anyone, but the things he says (he is supposedly quoted directly in the book from his conversations with his dad), and the things he claims he saw seem highly unlikely that they were simply dreams or images developed from his religious upbringing. I'm skeptical for the sole reason of whom this boy is (he's a PASTOR'S son), but I really found (and still find myself) wanting to believe it, and I really couldn't put the book down. It's an enjoyable read, and it's not at all preachy. Heck, even the father admits his skepticism from time to time.

Overall, I would recommend it for anyone at all curious about these experiences.

    Probably true.

But with that said, "nothing is impossible with God". I mean nothing.

Again, I'm just commenting on the book. Letting people know it's there if interested. Judge it as you see fit.
