    Well I think that settles it. Wood looks to be the winner and makes the most sense. Anyone recommend a specific pot belly stove? I don't need anything big so if you have a recommendation on a specific brand or model, please let me know. Thanks again!

    I've been keeping my eye on Craigslist but I haven't found any that are in decent shape and within my price range yet. If I can't find one there I might have to break down and buy a new one, but they sure look pricey... I might start off with a kerosene heater and save up for a good wood burner, I'd like to have both in the long run anyway to have options.
