Went out Saturday morning and afternoon but couldn't connect. Seen 3 small bucks and 13 does, but none of the does cooperated. Also went out today and scouted some new land I recently got access to. Looks promising but won't be able to tell until after a couple sits. I'll be in the woods again Friday afternoon and most of the day Saturday. Looks like its supposed to start getting colder here so hopefully I can put some meat in the freezer and gets some points for our team. Good luck to everyone this week. Sorry I haven't been on lately but I've been out nearly every day now I screwed up on a 9 pointer a couple of days ago and now it's been dead so hopefully things turn out soon
Didn't get out yesterday as planned, I had a boo boo happen to me. After getting the oil changed on the wifes' car I was waiting on her to get back with the truck I decided to cut a tree limb down. I thought I had everything planned where it would fall harmlessly to the ground, ha first mistake was me thinking - I shouldn't do that. Damn limb bounced and hit the ladder I was on, knocking me off, I landed wrong on my right foot and twisted it pretty bad got lucky that it didn't break. Since the wife is a nurse, saves on doctor visits ha ha, had her look at it when she got home. She said it was just a nasty sprain, took some Aleve for the pain wrapped it with an Ace wrap and put some ice on it. Not as bad this morning just a little sore but I can walk. Be a couple weeks before I get chance to go out again, going down to see my mom and help replace a floor in her house this weekend. Don
I'll be fine just glad I didn't break it, or have the tree limb land on me...wife would've been mad if she came home and found me lying in the yard with part of a tree on top of me, ha ha ha Don
Weather has really cooled off here & we got snow last night so hopefully gonna get out this weekend. I'll post a report after.
Good luck this weekend. instead of going hunting this weekend im going on my annual Salmon Fishing trip on lake O trib. Ill be out next weekend for the first sit of the year.
Well, finally got us on the board. Shot a doe yesterday around 2:00pm. She only went about 25 yards with the double lung shot.
I was sick as a dog this weekend & wasn't able to hunt but did check my cameras & got pics of these 2 guys.
