Those dudes from 187 are great players!!!!! for sure they've really busted themselves and are quickly making a name for themselves in the pro brackets. Can't imagine playing Huntington Beach I bet that was the experience of a lifetime! I also can't imagine running a field!! I've run some local organizations in 5 man and by the end of the year you never want to see another paintball gun again lol. I feel you its all or nothing. Rec ball just does not do it. This season has been a wash for me. I was playing over winter and tore my meniscus had to have surgery and rehab. So I've had to sit the whole year until last week. But I'll be back after it!! Figure I've done it this long time to just play till the wheels fall completely off.:p

Jury duty is a pain!

So here's something fun to find out 3 weeks from the opener......Wasn't going to say anything till I knew for sure but Long story short The doctor is positive I've completely torn my rotator cuff in my right shoulder....workplace injury moving a giant reel of wire pop snap rip goes my shoulder. intense Searing burning pain on the side of my shoulder and front, and on the side of my arm all the way down to my forearm, my neck feels like someone is stabbing me. This happened on Wednesday, I was trying to be optimistic but it's time to be REALISTIC!!!! Illinois is definitely out of the question....(there goes $1200 I have invested already) This sucks so bad. I've had surgery before on this same shoulder 10 years ago because I dislocated it about 6 times. repaired the rotator cuff and capsule cartiledge that holds the ball in the joint. Did my physical therapy and was pretty much back to normal. so I know what I'm in for. such bad timing too, but everything happens for a reason I guess.

BUT!!!

RI has a nice long season from sept. 15th to January 31st. AND they allow crossbows. So im awaiting an appointment with an orthopedist, then an MRI and the results before I sell off my bow for an X-bow. I'll also sell my 2 LW assaults and sticks, because I don't think I'll ever use them again, I'm going to just use my climber and natural ground blinds from here on out. I'll definitely get the team some points, but it will be later in the season. Looks like I'll be a cheerleader for the first part of the season!!

 

I have one camera set up on our 60 acre piece. This is the only buck to show up, and he's going to get the pass. Im usually able to put down 1 doe and I'll get an opportunity at a buck however the last few years haven't been very productive. We had EHD hit my area pretty hard and it definitely put a dent in the herd. I have a group of healthy does that show up on camera almost daily so my hopes are high for the rut.

Sorry about your shoulder. I'm anti-crossbow for the able-bodied - but you definately warrant it, if needed/wanted. Stinks about your IL money, maybe the link posted above can help you out. Hopefully. Definately need to get it fixed though. Do you want a pink tutu to cheer in? Loljk.

Ya I've always been anti-crossbow for the abled body as well, but I'm actually kinda pumped doing all the research on them! depending on the outcome of the mri, and being out on workmans comp, I'm not sure if I want to take a chance going out to Illinois, it might look really bad if I go on a hunting trip if im still out of work, and its been a financial nightmare for me and the wife this past year. Not for a pity party but last Halloween my wife got laidoff from her job and she was the bread winner. she had to settle for a job as a housekeeping director and its a third of what she was making before. so it's been a struggle/nightmare to keep our heads near the surface. our main goal is to keep our house and property, so going on the trip was a stretch to begin with but she really wanted me to go cause hunting is all I do! As far as the pink tutu....I think we all know how much crap I get from one unicorn post!!! hahaha!!!

Those are some good lookin bucks Matt!! This team is great, lots of talking back and forth, really enjoyable so far!!!
