    Haven't been out much at all. Just moved back into my old house after 6 months of renovations. I ran up the hill as there is a nice mountain out back and put a cam up. I have sole permission to hunt the 50 or so acres directly behind. I have it posted for the 2 neighbors and usually keep a close eye on it. I haven't been up there since turkey season. I don't shoot does up there as it is very hard to get a doe permit for this zone, and I promised my dad I would leave his does alone :) he just passed away this past May and I will keep my promise to him. Anyway, had cam up for 2 days and checked and this guy was there for 1 pic one morning at 6:30am. Gives me a bit of hope.

    Doesn't help that I have a terrible head and chest cold and have had a fever for the past 2 days. I feel like I got hit by a truck and work is so chaotic that I am trying to survive on DayQuill / NyQuill, Coffee, and cough drops... ugh..
    hope the antibiotics kick in so I can get after the deer above.
    I now have to work on Sat AM as well, so I don't know when I can get out again. Maybe tomorrow morning if I feel up to it.

    A bit cooler today... maybe they'll move before dark. Anything gets it tonight... need some more meat in the freezer.

    Little Grace does look like she enjoys it. Good luck tonight. That's how we were by end of season. But thankfully a full freezer now.

    Got myself a doe lastnight.. she was one tough deer. 500 yard track job on blood then grid searched the last 100 before my buddy found her. Decent shot placement just didn't want to go down.

    Congrats on the doe DoubleLung!!

    I saw pics from a neighbor about 1/2 a mile away that has the big boy I got in camera in November coming to his feeder almost nightly.. It's good to know he made it through the season!

    Went out yesterday afternoon and it turned into a downpour for the last hour.
    Had 5 bucks on cam first light yesterday. Big 8, small 8, 2 4pts and a spike! very strange.
    Gonna go in Sat am. Shooting whatever one comes in... if any do!

    I will hunt a little this up coming week. My work has shut down the office next week and giving everyone 40 hours vacation. So I will hunt a little, hopefully trap, and maybe fish.

    Oh it's the best in our opinion. Just the constant guessing, oh it did this it has to be a boy, or oh mommy is craving chocolate it has to be a girl. Or other people guessing, oh your carrying it so high it's a girl. Or the belly looks like a basketball it's a boy. Haha Over and over its hilarious and awesome.

    In the same day, multiple people told us they KNEW it was a boy/girl because of shapes, heart rate, Lori not being sick. It's great haha

    As long as the baby is healthy is all that matters... however, I wouldn't trade my 2 girls for the world.... but i'm sure I'll be changing my tune once they start dating!!! lol
