Glad to see you're alive, Joe. Though, I can see where your enjoyment would dwindle after that. Hopefully next year will be better. Has the Mrs gone out?

Welcome back Joe! I hear you about being burned out, it's tough going out time after time after time and not getting anything for sure. I'm in a way glad we have 2 days left in the season after today, I'm looking forward to killing some sea ducks with my dad and my dog!

Eric, where do you kill them at? My husband is going on a hunt on Cape Cod next weekend.

Thanks Joe. I could have shot some Monday night in bow range, ugh. Figures, lol.

Kristen, I live about 25 minutes from the coast, in the Portland, Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth area.. It is an absolute blast (no pun intended) hunting them! They are some beautiful birds too.

I am in the stand right now, it's a wet morning. No rain but it rained last night and is super foggy out. Very mild too, about 45 degrees. I'm hoping they start moving soon! I've got two doe tags and a buck tag left..

The deer were moving last night. Husband got a big doe and another guy shot a big buck (they're going to search again this morning, no luck last night). Good luck today!

He got a call from the duck outfitter and the hunt may be cancelled. Guess the ducks aren't flying right now. They said it's been too warm.

i'm a bit burned out myself... i'm not really into gun season... I prefer bow. I have barely been out... and don't have the drive or desire to even go out at this point.
Buddy sent me this pic today. This buck was stuck in a fence right outside of downtown this am... nice one too!

Didn't see anything besides about 20 turkeys and a dozen squirrels this morning. One more morning sit tomorrow and then my deer hunting equipment goes away until next September.

The eiders, scoters, and long tails have been flying pretty good around here! (Sea ducks)

He was probably trying to show off to the ladies and rub the metal pole.

Well my 2015 deer season has officially ended! Not a bad year, as you all know I shot a nice doe the second day of archery season here in Maine, and filled both of my Illinois tags, one being the second biggest bow kill buck for me! I didn't get to hunt as much as I would've liked due to the wedding and building the house, but I wouldn't trade it! On to ducks and ice fishing now (if we ever get cold weather)!!!

I did catch a glimpse of a deer this morning but that was it, couldn't identify what it was let alone get a shot at it. Funny thing is, I went out for a ride around the property here at work and saw close to 15 does and one decent buck.. No hunting allowed in here though. :(

I had a lot of fun this year guys and gals, we had a great team! And it doesn't look like we did too bad on points either! We've still got time to put more on the board though by the sounds of it.

    Great season Hunt Maine!
It's been a pleasure being on the team with you.
I made it out Sat am w/ my younger daughter. She is 9. She was on trigger on the smokepole.
Had deer around blind in dark, but they were gone before shooting light came and we didn't see anything. had a lot of fun though!

...so another nice buck was spotted down the road from my house.

Late season opens up this weekend. I'm putting a camera out - we'll see if he is coming to the yard or not.

Good luck Kristen! Is it warm enough for you to keep sitting? I know we've been in the high 60s all week. It's kind of frustrating.

I'm on the sidelines for the rest of the year but I'll still get out and hunt. I'll keep y'all updated when I do get out. Probably won't be this weekend, I'll be working on the car

We were in the 60's end of last week and beginning of this week. It has since dropped to the 40's and will be getting some snow and 30's this weekend. But a slight warm up next week (high 40's). I am usually okay to about 40/45*.

If I can find a huntable buck near home - I will try and go for it. It's just finding something that is still patterning the same after rifle season that is the hardest. We plan on going to our main bow spot during the holiday break and looking for the signs out there. Though, if snow starts flying I wont be making that drive.
