Just a little more about me. I'm from Western PA and hunt (mostly) private land. I'm usually chasing bucks in the 110-130" range but occasionally come across a giant. a few years back chase a near booner (taped out at 172" by the a-hole who took him). My son plays AAA hockey so a lot of my time is spent at the rink but I still manage to make the most of my time. Hope to start seeing some good bucks on camera. Been a little slow going this Summer so far. I'm good with whatever team name is selected.
What all does the captain do and is anyone else interested? I'm willing to do it if no one else chimes in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Polices the group for correctly submitting points. Acts as a gobetween for those running the scoring to the rest of the team. Kristen feel free to chime in any other responsibilities guys I've only been at this like 2 years
That's one thing I'm not the best at is scoring, but if we work as a team and we can do it. I can police the rest, I'm on most of the day at work. Best thing this season? I got a new job so I'm out 3-330 everyday and can get an evening sit in. Also got permission to about 100 acres (no one bow hunts it) about ten minutes from my work! Kristen when I say policing points I mean making sure everyone correctly submits their deer. Location time equipment and measurement the rules say we need to post to receive the points for the team. It's pretty self explanatory really people just forget to put all that in their posts so they need their hands held to get it fixed lol
Glad to be back with ya Chris!! Looks like we will have a good team, with lots of participation!! I am good with whoever wants to be captain. Team name, hmmmmm...
I'm sure some of yall have seen the 2 bucks that i'll be chasing this year. They showed up real early on camera but haven't caught them since. The first one looks really young. He looks 2 in this picture, sadly I don't have any side shots of him, so it's really hard to tell. He'll be the biggest 2 year to ever walk my farm in NC that I knew of. That's why I think he has to be at least 3, but his body characteristics don't show a mature buck. Yall tell me what you think. Keep in mind, i'm not in the big farm country of the midwest, so our deer body's are a whole lot smaller to start with.
Here is the second buck i'll be chasing. He looks to be a mature deer. He is a heck of a 5 point, he didn't develop any brow tines, which is a bummer but makes him pretty unique. Any guesses on age? I'm thinking he's around 4-1/2, atleast.
Here's the 2 other bucks that I'm looking for this year. Haven't caught pictures of them yet (that I know of). This is the bucks last year, and I have pictures of them making it through the season.
Hey Ya'll.! A little about myself.. I'm 32 years old and from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I primarily hunt Central Wisconsin where I own some property with my best friend -we are typically chasing 120+ inch deer. I'm good for at least a doe every year and I can guarantee you I will have an opportunity to score 150+ points... wether I can seal the deal is the question.! If your interested in passing the time checkout some videos we've put together here... Enjoy.! Come September, I will be dropped off in the middle of Kodiak Island for 2.5 weeks. I will be chasing Sitka deer and Caribou with my bow.. I've been blessed with the opportunity and look forward to taking advantage of every second of it.! So, needless to say I will be M.I.A. for that month on this thread. I look forward to an awesome season and sharing stories with you all.. GOOD LUCK and Let's have some fun.! Here is some clips from a couple years ago too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpiEb6p5lDo
nice pics.. I vote pink pony for captain too. i'm good with that or anything in the team name! lol I know my younger daughter would get a kick out of that...
I would love to catch up to this guy this year.. had him on cam twice last year.. that's it.. you never know though.. This is a slob for around here... usually, a 100" is a big one.
Those are some great bucks guys!!!! These are some of the size bucks I have going through my RI property for the past few years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great pictures everyone. We put our cameras out around 4th of July. Haven't checked them, been waiting for the hubby to get home. Getting anxious! I'll be team captain if that's good for you all. Have we decided a name yet? Hopeful Hunters? lol
