Well the boarding passes are all printed out! This time tomorrow I will be on a plane headed to the land of the corn. It's been slow out there this week according to my father, the abnormally high temps aren't helping much. They have seen some deer though so that is a plus.

Good luck to all! The high temperatures are supposed to start leaving tomorrow. I am able to leave work early tomorrow - but they're now calling for rain. So, I'll have to wait and see what the weather is like. Planning a morning and evening sit Saturday. Just struggling to decide if I sit in my new stand, where I've sat all year and seen at least something each sit. Or do I move to my old stand on the front of the property, where there is a lot of deer sign and I jump at least one or two each time walking in...but never seen a deer from the stand despite the sign. Whichever stand I don't choose - a coworker of my husbands is going to sit in the evening. Unfortunately, with my luck, it means whichever one I choose he'll get something from the opposite.

I know that feeling Kristen! Seems like my luck has been the same as everyone else's the past couple weeks. We've gotten a lot of rain and warm temperatures. I'm headed down to eastern NC to hunt the land where my dad and mom grew up. Looks like rain is likely on Saturday but mostly in the afternoon. Hopefully the morning will be a good hunt.

I will be caring the 7mm mag tho. So hopefully if I see something, i'll be able to reach out and touch it,

Good luck all! Pray for colder temps!

I'm itching to get into the woods this afternoon. Which, is never good because I usually never see a thing. But, we've been in the 70's all week. We got rain last night and then temps to the 60's. Temps will slowly fall to upper 50's and the rain will stop by afternoon. Something has to move...I hope!

Can't shoot one from the couch Kristen!!! I decided to skip the am hunt. Temp hadn't dropped much and despite a good wind, so I'm going to save that stand for tomorrow morning.

Oh definitely (Although I had one in my front yard last rifle season, lol) - but the weather seems to be doing what I hoped it'd do. It's just super windy right now. Hope that dies down, soon, too.

ETA; Well crap. My hunting partner, aka my husband, just backed out on me. It's super windy. But I only have a few days left. I'm going to tough it up and go sit by myself.

    Awesome Double, good luck!!!

I bumped a giant 40 yards from my stand. Had a small eight towards end of light and a small no clue how many points a ways out. They started moving tonight for sure. Hoping to connect tomorrow.

Good luck Kristen! I've been on the road since 3. Headed down east to where my family was raised. Today is the baby shower so me and the guys are headed to hunt all day.

I've got my iPhone back now. I can keep up-to-date with everyone in the stand now.

Buck was found last night, we found him piled up 150 yards from the shot. I'll post picks soon. I guess him to score around 110 inches.
Good luck all in the woods today . I think today is going to be dynamite for most.

No luck this morning. Saw a spike and some turkey. Grabbed camera from my other stand and there are deer all times of day. Don't know what to do tonight. I know deer are where I'm at and I know some big ones - as a saw the one last night. But this other stand has a mix. I hate deciding. Thankfully husbands coworker isn't going like originally planned.

From the Live From the Stand thread it seems Joe had a bad hunting trip and not a single deer.

Another hunt done. Got busted by a hidden doe. Saw three doe, drew for the first one to step out and think hidden fourth caught me. They all ran off. Had two other unknowns in distance. Also had about ten turkey, they crossed 20 yards in front of me, drew on two buy stupid branches were in way (today was last day of turkey season).
