***Heart Shot Heroes - Team #3 Thread!!****

Been rainy here too... GF did manage to take her first bear on Sat AM. not a big bear, but she took It with the bow from the ground at 12 yards!!! first kill ever... bear only went 50 yards and piled up... heard it crash and then the death moan. She drilled him. Very proud of her.
CT opens tomorrow... was in yesterday and everything is ready. At least hoping for a baldy in AM to break the ice and get some fresh meat in the freezer.

 

Hey everyone! Haven't been on in awhile due to my marriage falling apart. My wife and I are starting the process of rebuilding our relationship, gonna be a long road, but we can do it! RI opener is tomorrow but due to the issues were dealing with I won't make it out till Friday or Saturday.

Sorry to hear that man. I am glad to hear that yall are working through it. So many couples won't even do that.

Sorry to hear that...thankfully you're both willing to realize there's problems and try and fix them before throwing in the towel. I wish you the best. You haven't had an easy year, that's for sure.

Got it all on film, but don't have the means of uploading to my laptop.. Was a good hunt, I went into a stand I have over some apple trees and ended up seeing four deer. First deer killed with my HTR, and also first with the Killzone's.. Shot her at 14 yards, and a 40 yard recovery..

Congrats Eric! I was looking through the score card and I saw your picture with the doe and I thought...HEY that's my teammate! Atta boy!

On another note, I will be a weekend warrior for the most part this season again. A lot of work and school work will take up my weekdays and most of my weekends. I'll be out for my second hunt on Saturday. I might try to sit the morning hunt and afternoon. We'll see how it turns out...got my first Circuits Analysis test next Wednesday...sooo I need to be studying a lot.

So far so good! Shoots super nice, smooth and quiet!

Thanks everybody, I haven't done much scouting at all due to bear season but this stand has produced in the past and it all worked out! First sit of the year, on the second day of the season. Bear season ends a week from this Saturday, so I'll be hitting the deer woods hard very soon!

Swamp Stalker sorry to hear everything that is going on lately with you, but you'll pull through it!!

 

Not sure when i'll get out again... possibly tomorrow am... if not, maybe Monday PM... been crazy... plus, been in mid to high 80s... tough to get out there w/ little sign in that heat. Really looking forward to 10/1 when NY opens.
