Kind of slow around here so I figured I'd bore you all with my lifes little details for this afternoon........ So our second gun season just ended Sunday. It is relatively cold, 16 degrees as I type this with 10-14 mph SE winds. Headed to a spot I only hunted twice this year. Had shot ops at a doe and 2 fawns there once and nothing the other time. It is a smaller woodlot (30ish acres) next to an 70 acre cut corn field. I know for a fact the wood lot was drove out during both of our gun seasons a few times (no idea if anything was shot though), but those deer gotta eat right? It is however the only ag field for quite a ways, so I at least have that going for me. Plus the wind is really good for the setup I plan to hunt. I will update after the hunt.
I got to vote yonder field :d comparing to the deer in my area, they are hiding way back and getting to the fields after dark. But im not sure if you have woods farther back in this spot behind the patch
Where is the option for........... "It's Ohio, of course your gonna see deer. Theres booners behind every tree." :d Best of luck, I know you have worked hard this year. Go make it happen.
I saw two and they weren't in the field.... I couldn't tell what they were. I pack lite when it's cold and didn't have my binos. I could see their silhouettes against the snow 60-70 yards away in the thick stuff. My ears are still burning
