Exactly my point. The more guns that are available to thieves (in cars, homes, etc,) the easier it is to get their hands on one. It's basic supply and demand. What do you and I care.....we would rather hunt with a bow! lol Ammunition is where they will shut the whole thing down. All the guns in the world wont do you any good if you cant purchase the ammo for them.
RELOAD The criminals and killers have no problem finding ways to obtain weapons. Be it black market or crossing state lines and stealing them. The guns are out there, they will find a way to get them, regardless of how many laws forbid it. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
You clearly don't understand how draconian Chicago gun laws are. The 500 murders this year in the city are a perfect example of how more laws don't stop the lawless. Look how well super strict gun laws are working in Mexico. And how murders with firearms are soooo rampant in countries like Switzerland and Israel where military guns are in homes all over the place.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people, if all the "Guns" disappeared over night, there would still be murder by knife, or other means. It's like my grandfather used to tell me, " if you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns". Criminals and crazys don't follow rules and regulations. How can disarming the lawfull citizens prevent them from less violence? It cannot, evil prevails when good well armed men do nothing and watch the slaughter of innocence.
Yes Christine, here is how obsurd it is. My cousin is a jailor up around Terra Haute In and he told me about. One of the deputies was pulled over in Illinois for speeding. The Illinois State cop noticed he was an Indiana deputy sheriff. He asked about his service weapon and the sheriff had it with him. It was immediately confiscated. Later the the county Sheriff contacted Illinois to obtain the weapon and they said no,it would be destroyed. They really did a service to the community with that one. I bet you feel safer now.
Any noticeable difference in the shootings rate at all? Any chance they would have been worse? I clearly understand that the lawless will exist. Both of you guys make good points and I do respect that. Not saying you are wrong either. The guys that are buying up multiple AR's are the ones that make me scratch my head. I mean, seriously? Are they also stocking up on Twinkies and incandescent bulbs because they are going away?
Why not? Is everything you purchase for your house something you really need or have a everyday use for? Btw I've had one for couple years and reason I bought one is #1 because I wanted one and #2 I carried one for 4.5 years so why not. And I enjoy shooting and use mine to hunt with. Its jus another gun no different to my shotgun or any other rifle I have.
ALL guns could be outlawed and gun violence by criminals will not change. Tey will still have them and have ways to obtain them. NOTHING will change in these areas until something is done to change the environment in which they live. Safe schools and streets for kids (throwing gang bangers in jail and leaving them there) . This allows for education to be obtained. This in turn creates more job oportunities. Getting the streets safe might involve martial law at this point. Curfews, national guard on the streets and in schools. The gangs have taken over and the police are not capable to take them back.
I would imagine they are rushing out to get parts for their AR's, Sig's etc as they will soon be unavailable. If something breaks down, the gun is obsolete.
I don't own an AR or have any desire to have one. They do not appeal to me. My next hand gun purchase will likely be the ruger redhawk alaskan in .44. It really will have no purpose, I have no legitimate use for it (I have plenty of hand guns that are better for personal protection), I just think it is cool as all get out and want a .44. I would get the .454 casull but no bears live around here . Why do I need to have a reason to have it? "I like it" is reason enough for me. If I thought it was going to be banned then I would rush out and buy one right now.

This is actually the type of situation that I fear the most. If the government declares martial law, the president could bypass congress and ban anything he wanted to. I don't blindly follow this man like many, and feel this is the exact situation that he is waiting for.
You ask why I rushed out and bought an AR. I'll try and break it down for you. #1 I have been wanting to get one for a long time to use predator hunting. #2 I like the versitility and the modular nature of the gun. I can modify or change it to my liking #3 I didn't have one. #4 I had the money to spend #5 I still could(maybe I will still be able to in the future, but I didn't want to take that chance) #6 I don't trust our president, or our government to have my best interest in mind. #7 IF we have an economic crash, or some other catastrophe, it will help aid in protecting my family, or providing a food source. #8 To piss off the Anti's(not really but I'm glad it does)
Well let me start with I was just saying what I as a Christian got from what he said, not trying to tell you what to take from it or saying your interpretation was wrong or anything. All I meant was many people wouldn't help, those folks were willing to for whatever reason. Statistically speaking there is about a 70% chance they were Christians. Saying a lot without saying anything of substance? We all know you're an expert at that.
