I don't know what you are getting out of his speech right now, but I read between the lines and he is stumping for changing gun laws. I have a feeling he's about to push to make all semiautomatic weapons illegal. I may be heading out to pick up my first AR tomorrow.

Didn't see the speech as I was helping out the kids to bed but changes are going to be proposed I'm pretty sure of that.

I 100% agree with his line, we can no longer sit around and do nothing, we can do better.

He's a good talker... I was kind of impressed with his speech... interested in seeing what this action is...

He admitted that laws wouldn't stop it... but also said it wasn't an excuse not to do anything.

I might be ordering parts for an AR shortly as well.

WE can make it worse, and with these people in charge failure is all but guaranteed.
To use a tragedy of this proportion for political gain is less than shamefull.

Missed it...reading the highlights on Reuters. Interested to hear the policies that come from this. Hopefully there are mental illness policies included.

For those who are overreacting....The GOP holds majority in the House last time I checked and Obama would need their support to make any changes to gun law...I thought the speech was fine

When mental issues were as diagnosable as compound fractures this would be simple.

Seriously this is not about politics, it's about our kids and communities.

It's not all about the gun, there are many steps we need to take before we ban anything.

Overreacting or not, I'm going to play it safe and get one just in case.

How about 20 names of the children that were killed? You seem to be a pro at doing nothing, we can do better.
