I have no problem with someone saying they hunted hard. The issue for me is when they would lay a claim they hunt as hard or harder than someone else or others. Personal perspective of someone's self cannot be measured by others, however, items such as effort in multiple people can one hundred percent be observed and "measured" to an extent. And it doesn't have to be effort that is measured.
to me, only speaking of whitetail hunting, doing a good amount of leg work to find deer, hunting several days or sits, sometimes seeing 0 deer, hunting the worst of elements heat, wind, cold, rain etc, is hunting hard. that's my definition. not paying an outfitter that has done all the above before hand and you come to camp and look at trail cam pics of different deer, stand locations that are pre hung, based on wind that have no idea about etc... I am not saying that people don't have the basic right to hunt this way...just don't try to sell me on "you hunted so hard for this" I ain't buying.
VAbowman, don't mind the cold, wind, rain, or snow but can't handle the heat. I don't like to sweat !!! Lol
I don't even hunt Arkansas this time of year. Lol. I just can't enjoy my hunt if I'm raining sweat. I admire the hunters that can tho.
