    Hey Guys,

What are you recommendations on HD Video recording devices. I have tried the Go Pro but find that its not great for bow hunting do to the wide angle lense. I'd like something that attaches to the bow but was told to stay away from that as it will vibrate during the shot and not get good footage. Any thoughts on that? I'd possibly be willing to try something to wear on my hat so i'm open to options. My main thing is that I don't want to have a separate camera mounted on my stand that I have to do extra movements along with trying to successfully get a deer too on top of getting good footage. That's why I thought the bow mounted ones would be good since I already have the bow in my hand and will be pointing in the deers direction anyways. What are all my options for cameras on the market?

    Thank you

You won't get good footage unless you mount the camera on an arm attached to the tree. The footage will be shaky. All of our Pro Staff try and have our cameras firmly mounted to a solid base as much as possible (I.E. camera arm, Tripod, etc). If you are ok with shaky footage then I have seen some mount small cameras on their bows. But if you want decent footage you have to take the chance of messing up a hunt and filming from an arm. I will say when you self film a successful hunt it's well worth all the aggrevation

The new gopro hero 3+ which allows you to change the field of vision from fishe eye to narrow and works well.

Go Pro's can't be beat for second shot or point of view times...but lack in the clean professional videoing that can only be accomplished by a dedicated camera arm and HD video camera. My advice to anyone really seeking to record their hunts in a professional-ish manner truly must devote some cash towards the proper set up......main reason I haven't ever :)
