Truth is, they probably bought they from the same Chinese supplier. That is the downside of manufacturing in, or buying from, China. Their laws are a lot different and they don't have scruples. Look at all the knock off's; not just archery related but everything from motorcycle parts to electronics.
I think they do care. One glance at the comments and you would see that. The problem is it's never brought to our attention until now.
Truth is that it's hard to be judgmental in these cases because most people have no idea which side is telling the truth. Is one lying, are they both lying, is it a misunderstanding or is it a smear campaign to hurt a competitor. It can make a person look like a complete fool to take a side and find out you were played and picked the wrong side to voice support for. If anything was stolen or illegally used over a copyright then it's for the courts to decide, if they didn't have it protected it's their own fault, if it's a misunderstanding and a coincidence that the design is similar then the company calling out the other one looks like a company of d icks.
XOP is doing the same thing and no one says anything about it! I understand Andre owned Lone Wolf and now XOP and the patent ran out but he is still copying the basic design of Lonewolf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd haveta go more with Sota, in less than six months nobody will care. Something new and scandalous will come out and be the "it" thing to have an opinion about. It's social media and what's trending right now.
There is no more "Muddy." They have been absorbed by the patent company. They are the ones calling all the shots now. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
XOP is the only instance where I could think of I was okay with sheer copying just for the sake of copying...but that is because he was the original designer of it. I agree one can argue with other examples but to me this is a poor choice as different entirely.
When Andre left/sold Lone Wolf those designs became the property of Lone Wolf. So technically XOP is copying them, that is why they had to wait for the patents to expire. When you work for someone and design something on company time, regardless if you own the place or not, those designs are property of that company. That's the way the engineering/design world works. I have had to sign a waiver saying as much with every engineering job I have ever had.
This is more than just having an opinion on your typical, irrelevant, pop culture story. This is a business and you can decide if you want to give them business or not. Very black and white. If I'm done giving muddy my business, I assure you others are doing the same.
I have it. It's by far the best camera arm I have ever used for the money. Feels like a head and arm that would cost twice as much.
