well with shooting 65lbs and having a 26.6inch draw length it put me right on the bubble of shooting a 350 or 400 spine arrow. I was wondering what kind of effects of having to stiff of a spine would have?

You could always go with the stiffer spine and add weight up front, weakening the spine and increasing your FOC. I just recently went through this, as I was I the edge of .300 and .340. I went with the .300 with a heavier outsert instead of an H.I.T insert

Thanks cole I will be shooting bloodsport arrows now and they have a few options where I could add weight to the front

It would have to be grossly stiff to have a negative affect.

I'd go that route. Gives you better penetration, and will even quiet your bow a little. I shoot 70 lbs at 30", and have only ever had 1 arrow that didn't completely pass through. Granted that's a pretty long draw, but I still like the heavier arrows for that reason.

Yep I totally agree with what's been said so far. Its way better to go on the stiffer side and add weight up front to even the spine out. I'm definitely not an expert but have learned this.
