Haven't had an age thread in a while.

So how old do ya'll think he is. I have no time left to hunt him this year, so hopefully he
will just be bigger next year. And while we are at it, what do you all think he would score.

160's is my est.

 

he is definitely a mature buck, my guess would be around 5.

and as far as scoring, im 100% positive he would score me a $400 bill at the taxidermist.

From those photos it's very hard to tell age, but there's really nothing there that makes me think he's older than 4.5, if that. His hind quarters appear to be quite big in relation to his front quarters, and he doesn't have an overly deep chest either. Again, hard to tell from the angle but he doesn't look like an old deer to me.

As for score, I'm putting him at 155ish. Good mass and some good tines, but a little weak on the beams and spread. Definitely not a buck I'd pass, but if he sticks around until next fall look out!!

I'd guess he's prolly 4 1/2 and I agree in the 160" range. I've yet to see his equal in the woods. That I KNOW! :D

 

Thanks everyone. This is the biggest deer I have ever seen on any of the properties I hunt, and am really wanting a shot at this guy. If anyone else has any guesses I would be glad to hear them!

 

Taking into account where the Buck lives I'd say at least 4.5

High 160's. As far as age, no younger then 4.5 to me.
