I have been shooting my bow and have started to notice that my arrows are all hitting at different angles when they hit the target. I have also had the problem, even if i do ajust the sight, all my arrows are hitting to the right. I have tried putting odd vane down, sometimes it shoots fine other times they dont. I really dont have any idea why this is hapening.
There are so many possibilities , are the arrows all the same weight, same length and spine? Is your bow, tuned and paper tuned. Best advice I can give from here would be is go visit a pro shop and have your equipment looked at. Good luck to you!
It's going to be tough for anyone over the internet to help you due to the amount of variables involved. It could be ANYTHING. It’s like e-mailing your doctor that you don’t feel good and he is supposed to fix your problem. Find someone that knows what they are doing which may or may not include pro shop and get help. Good luck.
yes they are all the same weight i know what you mean how it is hard to tell, i was hesitant to even post this lol. im just wondering if mabey if the cams are messed up if that would do anything?
I had this problem or at least one very similar when I first started. First, take it to a pro shop and have them paper tune it. Once that is done do not touch anything on it. Shoot it at 10 yd until they are grouping all in the same place every single time. It probably isn't the bow at all. More than likely it is your form. If you are right handed and you are torquing the bow, it will hit to the right. You can sight it in all you want. This is something I did when I first started shooting and so have many others. Torquing is easy to do and almost as easy to fix if you know how. The next time you shoot your bow, shoot it open handed, meaning after you draw the bow, open your bow hand completely. Without your fingers wrapped around the grip, it is impossible for them to put force on the grip causing the torque. Do not worry about dropping the bow. I have shot somewhere in the neighborhood of 15,000 shots this way and have yet to drop my bow. Your natural reflexes will take over and your hand will close just after the release. Follow through- this is very important. If you do not follow through you could be droppint the bow or moving it to one side or the other. When a person does this, the motion is usually started as the arrow is coming off the rest. Most people that do it are trying to see the POI (point of impact). In other owrds where the arrow is hitting the target. To eliminate this, Don't worry about where you hit the target until after impact. Hold your bow in the same spot until you hear the impact. Go on youtube and watch some target archery. Notice they do not break form until long after the arrow has hit. You don't have to let your bow rock forward like the target people do. Sights, do not touch them until you are shooting back at 20 yards and your arrows are all hitting the same place. These two things helped me more than any thing else has helped so far in my accuracy. Watching Archery form videos on youtube helped some as well.
Had that problem as-well, are you using Lumenoks? Second are you standing in the exact spot at the same angle as you walk toward your target. If not.. there's your answer. It's you that's changing the angles inadvertently. Think about it. Then adjust your sight as you would normally. I'm no expert, I'm a Amateur following my own mistakes through experience.
well could the rest or the spine have anything to do with it shooting right all the time? and does the cams have anything to do with it?
start with paper tuning and go from there. What are your bow specs (draw weight, draw lenght, arrow spine, weight). that will determin if your shooting the correct arrow. Sounds like your arrows may not be clearing your rest.
Also, what kind of rest are you using? If it's a dropaway, your fletchings could be making contact with the rest.
im using a whisker biscut so i dont think its the problem could the cold have anything to do with the arrows being any stiffer in colder temps?
I had a similar issue a while back and replaced the whisker insert. Neither I nor a bow technician could see anything wrong but when I changed the whiskers it cleared up.
