I have met the following peeps from here or HNI. Justin- Very cool and generous cat, put together a great day at Coon Creek that I had to bow out of for a grad party. Todd- Opened his Coon Creek Club to us for a weekend and hooked us up with the coolest Schwag including a sweet Coffee Mug! BloodCrik- Very nice guy, maybe even nicer than Peakrut. Notorious for snafus like locking himself in bedrooms and cars. Peakrut- Great guy that I spend a lot of time texting from the tree. He has an up and coming son that should be a hell of a hunter. Frogslayer-aka-Cole- Peaks son, this kid is a Bluegill and Bullfrog machine. Great little guy that I can't wait to see in the woods. In-Da-Woods-- This guy is hands down the best venison cook out there even if he shoots a Bowtech. Hank is a cool cat. Rybo- This guy is in the fricken zone, another cool guy that you can tell has a serious passion for the outdoors. Buckeye- A class act and great guy and teamate (Team 12 BBK!) This guy can shoot the piss out of a bow and kills big bucks on public land and yeas another cool cat. JFergus7- This guy was my pal at first site, I showed up at the campground and he fired up some breakfast. Peakrut and I are going to teach him how to shoot big bucks if Mechdoc hurries up. MECHDOC- This cat was sitting on HNI and posting pics of a property. I PM'd him and heard his sob story of no local land to hunt. I felt bad and brought him in on my local slice of Buck Heaven. We have become good buddies and hang out quite a bit. The guys is also a gadget freak and like Yoda when it comes to archery. The Mo's- I briefly met the MO's, Momightymite and Mo-bowhuntr. I felt like an jerk because I never really got the chance to talk to these guys at the GTG but they seemed cool like the rest of the gang. Dubbya- Another Cool Cat. This guy reminds me of an old hunting buddy only he can actually hunt. This guy flew into Midway, rented a car and drove two hours to the GTG, I can only imagine how hard he hunts. Another team 12 member, BBK! Dr Andy- Said hi at Coon Creek, ate a deer Bratwurst he cooked and had to book, hope to get another chance to hang and get to know him. So I guess I have met 14 so far and have quite a few I'd like to meet. Hopefully I'll get a chance in the near future!
From Bowhunting.com I've met GMMAT, I was just at his house yesterday bumming a fixed stand and climbing sticks. And I've also met Rob / PA Both awesome guys.
Well I am heading to the Wheeling, WV area for a few days over Thanksgiving. If anyone is in the area let me know!
I met a bunch and it was all good . . . . until they left me in a strange bathroom, at a strange campground, in a strange state . . . with no phone. . . . or transportation . . . Yeah, great bunch of guys! :d
I've met at least 12 at the gtg. I've been trying to hook up w/some of them here & there, but w/my work schedule sometimes I have to miss out. Maybe next week can go to the whitetails dinner, & meet them there; if I can get off work.
I have been stalking this Jason guy on here and I even hijacked one of his best stands.What can I say if you cant beat em join em.I also met about 15 people from the GTG and Coon Creek.
