2-3 over the years. This guy from last year is pushing 165+ even with those little nub brows:

    upload_2025-3-28_23-58-13.png

Think the one in the back would easily go 160+ also...never got a great pic of him, and didn't get any for certain ones of him out of velvet.

Here is that first one out of velvet on a neighbor's cam:

I saw him on the hoof after dark in my headlights on Nov...6? Same night I shot my buck. Nobody in our area claimed they got him so we are hopeful he made it through the season.

Different neighbor got this guy on camera like 50 yards from our property line. We never got him on cam that I know of. 16, maybe 18 scorable points. I can only guess he's over 170, he's obviously wide as hell but can't tell any tine length due to the angle. I also have no idea where to even begin trying to score all his trash:

I'm starting to get geeked already.

Won't be long before you get to tell the tale of gutting a 170 plus....

You have the drive and are now in an area where you can legitimately hunt them.

    Only a matter of time

Thanks man. Im trying to get my first 140 plus inch first. hahaha. But Im telling you, I think Im onto something big. Found absolutely giant buck tracks over about 100 acres, three times. Might just be a big body buck, but everything including rub height, tell me that this may be a true giant.

    You going to score it?

I'll go with 158 3/8 if you do..

That aside, it's the subtle hints and clues you are about to have a special season. This is the first one, show restraint early this coming season, a better one is coming.

Unless he is 160+, then collapse both lungs without hesitation

Ha. I guessed about 155 myself. He is a bit narrow. I hope you are right about me getting a crack at a real good one.

Thought him to be about 16" IS on first take, but thought tine length in the 9 - 11" would be common got him into the 50's.

Either way, it's your first sign of things to come.

Of all the hunters on this forum, I think a majority of us can agree you are due.

looks too fresh to be a CWD kill. Think he was a hunter kill/non recovery?

Yeah it still stunk like crazy. May just be old age and it was a tough February with extremely cold weather.
