I have had a handful on camera over the years. These are the last two that I had.

Not on camera, in person yes, I was in on a lease in Illinois and the property owner told us (7 ppl on the lease). That he found a shed of a buck that was 190+ shed. He didn’t want to say where he found the shed. 800 acres. Near a dynamite plant

The buck came by me at 24 yards. I was waiting for the shot , I attempted to stop him with a mehh. He turned inside out and bugged out. I can honestly say he was 170 +.
The yr before one of the guys shot a 230 inch.
I dream about that occurrence every so often. As it’s been 18 / 19 yrs since.

Nope, I've gotten some 150's on cam, shot some smaller and a bit bigger, but never a 170. 2019 buck was 168 and change.

Closest I'll ever get to it as well.

My uncle was a paratrooper in Vietnam, have never met anyone tougher.

The deer on my wall do not reflect my ability, but represent his love and development of his family's property.

Hindsight proves I could be the owner now, actuality shows I am not.

I’ve been in IL for 10 seasons now. 8 out of those 10 I’ve had 170”+ deer on cam. I’ve only killed one of them though.

Looking at these pics I can say yes, also that I've shot one. I just never got him. It was the one the farmer snatched up in his field as I gave time after the shot.

First buck we followed for 4 years before we believe he dies from ehd. The photo is when he was his biggest at 5.5 years old. We estimated him to be upper 180s to low 190s. We saw him a couple times and he did the head bob when he would walk. The 2nd picture is of the buck I killed in 2018 and he scored 187.

So at least you are in the "ballpark" most seasons. Impressive. I hope you kill another one in 2025.

Crazy mass on that boy. Twice hubby has spotted what he calls coke can bucks on our place. As he leaves in the morning his truck lights light up the foodplot across street. He rarely gets too excited about buck, but those two sitings got him chatty...lol Bases were the size of coke cans so I heard over, and over.
In this area I truly wonder how bucks of that size hide so many years. Not only population, but land use and cameras. That said... no even I won't post best buck on cams, nor even tell family.
I can't tell you how many ppl have congratulated me on my buck this year and he wasn't that big. The mail man and delivery guys saw him. Thats all it took...lol

Never. 150" is a huge buck around here. I have seen two in my life that were in the 150"-160" range. A lot of years ago.
Never had anything bigger than a 140" or so on camera.
