Have to re-do my food plot...

    Thanks jrk last year my food plot was twice as big and it was defiantly a learning experience. i didnt get enough seed when i started so i had to run to rural king and of coarse they didnt have any more of what i bought ealyer so i had to get what was left and it was a cluster of a plot lol but it didnt last long cause the drought wiped it all out but the turnips so weeds took over and well it didnt do so hot. so this year i cut it in half by size and so far so good other than it being sprayed lol

    Ha ha yea having it get sprayed definitely puts a damper on things. Like said tho I've never messed with food plots jus know that rye seemed to grow pretty good in dry weather and they seemed to like it. Sure the little bit of clover that came up didn't hurt either.

    Came here to say this as well .... give that plot 2-3 weeks, and you might see that the Clover will bounce back . Then you can just overseed with some more seed, and drive over it to get good ground contact. Will be a heck of a lot easier than digging it all up.

    yea its a little late but maybe someone else will see this.

    just an update on the plot. last night was the first rain since i planted it 7 days ago so hopefully it will all come up. im a little worried that none of it came up yet. (havent checked it today.) we will know in about 2 days i think if it will make it or i have to drop another $100 in it again
