Every time I hear a lantern fired up, it reminds me of the many tracking jobs I was on with my family growing up. My parents made me wear a seat belt as a kid though. I'm such a wuss.
Nothing compares to the experinces I have shared with my kids on their hunts. Hard to even describe. Congrats to her!
Different though processes. One thing I do find weird is someone calling my son going to school sick a "selfish" act. Crazy. I am not wired like most people and readlily admit it. I belong in a different era and could see my thoughts representing the a very tiny minority. And Bruce, your daughter staying home after all that hard work is truly cool in my book. No need for you to write like you are talking to someone who you just met, or maybe you are trying to show off for someone else on this website in the form of belittling my thoughts on child rearing. It is me, the same old Brett, no need for the melodrama.
Brett, try and relax a little. Melodrama? Showing off? I think you know me a little better than that. You explained what you thought was toughing it out and I explained what I thought was toughing it out. Difference of opinion. Just like your post, no melodrama, no showing off, just an example.
What the heck does that have to do with tough kids Fletch? Let go of your cave man fetish you silly fool
Awesome Bruce!! Although I didn't know this till now glad I was able to help. One of the best things I've saw so far as a dad (I've only been a dad for 4.5 years) was this past year on a couple different blood trails. My daughter and her 2 cousins (my nephews) tracked both of these deer on their own with a little bit of assistance from my brother and I. It was priceless stuff, It really was. Many more blood trails of this liking to come for us both Bruce!
