I went chasing pigs again last night with no luck. I backed out pretty early, about 6:00PM. The winds were all over the place and I didn't want to screw the spot up so I just headed for home. I realized on the drive home I haven't killed a feral hog in over 3 months. early January was the last one I got. I don't know how many I've gotten over the past several years but certainly dozens. I like to think I've gotten pretty good at it. I don't know whats going on but I need to turn this slump around! I think more time on stand is in order. Hunting once a week just may not be enough. I am truely blessed to be able to have several places to hunt these things year round.
That's the ticket, right there ! I don't really wish we had hogs around here after hearing you guys say how much they destroy and what a pest they are but, I certainly envy you getting to hunt them as often as you can. Good luck.
I had a lot of those same thoughts last fall during deer season. Sometimes you just have ride out the dry spell until one decides to commit suicide and get the ball rolling again. Keep at it you'll score again soon.
