Speaking of knives.... could I get some feedback on the HAVALON knives?

I was thinking about getting the Baracuda to douple as a skinning and fillet knife.

I just got one a few months back. For the price and the fact you can swap blades in the field and be guaranteed a sharp edge they are hard to beat.

I absolutely love mine. I do not have the Barracuda though, but will probably get one. The longer blade would be nice for cutting the corn hole out. Being able to have a surgically sharp blade on it at any time is very nice. The only problem I have had with the Piranha is I pushed too hard against something when cutting the windpipe out of a bear while gutting it and broke a blade off inside. Needless to say, I was extremely careful pulling the guts out and am more careful not to twist it around inside an animal.

Thanks all. I would say with the amount of positive feedback I have received in a very short time that it will be a worthwhile purchase. Any recommendations where to buy? I don't really see anyone advertising the product less than direct from the manufacturer......

The piranha was gods gift to those of us that suck at sharpening blades. I have a 100 pack of blades that should last me forever practically

Think I looked at those at Cabelas once but I had never heard of them so I didn't get one but thought about picking one up next time I go.

I have mine and there amazing when it comes to quartering a deer out west like I do. I even use them when it comes to butcher at home.

Absolutely fantastic for skinning anything. I did three bears last year and never changed the blade. I would caution on any kind of twist while cutting.
