Thankfully, with this hot weather I haven't had to haul any water. Ever since I dug my little pond out it has held water for a long time. If I did have to haul water I'd use my tractor and haul one of those 275 gallon plastic tanks.

Fortunately I have a 7 acre pond that is working nicely for the wildlife. I am pumping water out of it to keep the gardens and food plots watered though.

Here's what I've been doing most of the summer so far. I've found that the water lasts over two weeks. The way I get water to it is I have a 150qt cooler and one of my wife's household totes that I fill with water. Both of those things together fill the little pool to the top. I strap them to my four wheeler and away I go. Attracts all sorts of critters.

The sled isn't aa bad idea but the first mile is standing corn that I bet is pretty tall now. One of the "perks" being on staff with Tom iss getting to haul water with him. :D

Going to bury our kiddie pool in the next week. Like someone else asked do you really think it makes a difference if it is buried or not? Filling it will be a chore like Tom's. I have no access to a four-wheeler, horse, donkey, ox or tractor. I might have to try that 150 qt cooler idea, but that will be a beotch dragging it to this location by myself.

@Chiro, I just have a 5 gallon bucket that I fill, and yes with a 50' hose (for the backyard deer). It sits on the ground and I top it off every day or two. :o

The other areas I hunt are near decent sized bodies of water.

I have a 400 gallon water tank to haul water. I bought a power inverter for truck, submersible sump pump, and hose that I use to water a cpl of my food plots since the last two summers have been exceptionally dry. It helps, but would be sooooooo much easier if it would just rain now and then. I think we got 1/10th of an inch yesterday. Gonna have to start hauling water again :(
