The doe that I shot Sunday morning was exactly 20 yards away when I shot. Not approximately but exactly. Normally, on a 20 yard shot my 510 grain arrow takes no time to get there even at 270 fps, but on this shot I experienced something new. The arrow seemed to take a long time to reach the deer. It was almost slow motion. I was conscious of the arc in the trajectory and and I would swear that I had time to think at first that I was going to hit high, but then I watched it arc down and hit perfectly. This was a new experience for me, and I'm curious as to whether or not anyone else has experienced this.
not right away but when i think back on deer that i have arrowed it's always in super slow mo! im picking up what you are puttin' down!
