No... not really though I have learned some very valuable life lessons and perhaps patience is one of the most important.

It certainly has for me. My dad got me started hunting and hunting often. I was "bread" into it so to speak. Growing up, my parents never had to worry about where I was or what I was spending my money on. They knew it had to be something hunting related, or fishing at the very least. As I got older, I left parties early, drank less, and surrounded myself with those who shared the same passion for hunting that I do. Hunting has taught me a great deal about respect, how small I am in the grander picture of life and what really is important.

Now, I'm anxiously awaiting my little ones to grow up so I can pass the torch on to them!

I'm not sure if hunting has made me a better person or not, but I can say that hunting (as well as fishing) has shaped the path that I will follow for the rest of my life. Through hunting, I have a better understanding of the blessing of life and what it means to take another. I'm not exactly religious, but i'm spiritual, and hunting has been the reason for my awareness of something I can neither see, hear, or touch, something much greater than myself. Spending years in the outdoors with nature's landscapes and creatures makes me wonder, how much closer to God can I get than this? Its heaven on earth. Hunting and fishing have brought about new friendships and stories that will last a lifetime, as well as the pursuit of a career in wildlife biology. I'll never live in an area where I cant hunt and fish, its just who I am

I feel hunting has made me a better person. I've spent so much time with family and friends all because of hunting and I cherish those days. Hunting has given me some great experiences. It might not have changed my morals but it has made me a better person, in more ways then one, i'm sure.

Bowhunting or even hunting in general has kept me out of trouble so I guess yes it has.

If it hasn't made me a better person it has definitely took my appreciation of nature to another level.

    Well said Tony!

Hunting hasn't made me a better person....nor has it made me worse. It's JUST HUNTING! My passion for hunting started like many of yours did. Dad took us hunting for the meat and I followed suit. However, through my own pride and selfishness I took it to another level. I hunted for the love of hunting...and ignored a lot of very important people in my life. I hurt some important relationships along the way. It was Jesus who made me a better person; now I hunt guilt free because I've learned to keep my priorities straight... most of the time :D
