A lot of times Ill drink a few less beers or leave a party earlier than I would have to make it out of bed in the morning to go hunting. This has probably taken me out of some bad situations before. So, yes.

I am who I am. I don't think hunting changed me. I do however think that we as individuals can change what hunting is. We can change what is considered ethical, we can change how others view hunting by our actions. So, in short no hunting hasn't changed me. But I hope I take the opportunities that I'm given to show others the positive aspects of hunting and how to do it right.

I agree with Cablebob...we as hunters bring our character and ethical understandings to the sport...it's up to us whether it is better or worse due to us.

No, I am who I am, and I just happen to be passionate about hunting. I'd like to think most would consider me a good guy whether I hunted or not.

^^^Totally agree.. but also in my case, as I'm sure in many others aswell, I started hunting young. I would say that yes it has contributed to making me a better person. Helped teach me respect, patience, understanding among many other important attributes. But also that was my father and uncles teaching those to me the right way and hunting and the outdoors was a vital tool in those lessons.

Nock em down, Drag em out!!

Yes in the sense it's given me a better understanding of animals and nature first hand.

Absolutely, simply due to the amazing people I have built some lifelong relationships with. Looking forward to many more. These people have influenced me in a way that continues to motivate me to make every day of life really count. Second, Hunting itself has pushed me to many limits and beyond, without its influence I doubt I would be as determined and disciplined in other areas of my life. Many life lessons I have learned from the mountains and its critters.

Had to really think about this .... my answer is, "Yes" along with Jesus Christ, my parents, my wife, some teachers, friends......

Hunting has been a part of my entire life .... it is deeply entrenched in me .. hunting allowed me to spend one on one time with a father who worked 2nd shift and tons of overtime. My Dad was rarely home when we kids were ... and he had a hard time expressing his feelings with us ... hunting was a commonality we shared and could talk about ... now it is me and my bro that will hang his stand, drag his deer, butcher it for him....

Wow....tearing up just writing this .... yes, hunting has made me a better person.

No, it hasn't made me a better person. Now I'm more sneaky and skulk around looking for something to kill.

I think anyone who's ever taken the time to give me advice, experience or any other kind of time they took to get me out and contribute to my strong love and absolute obsession with everything outdoors. That, in a nutshell, has made me a better person

for me it has. long story... but. when I was 19 I was in a hunting accident. I lost the sight in my right eye, and my x-ray looks like someone poured salt on it. :) but honestly I am a better person because of it. Before I got shot, I admit, looking back I was a major A-hole. i hated everyone, and picked a fight with nearly everyone else. I remember wishing my own parents were dead... (yeah, i was that big of a jerk, I deserved to be shot) well... getting shot, losing my sight (in one eye), and so on really changed me.... i still hunt, wear orange when I move around the woods. but realized everything that I was, and I didn't want to be that...

It is a yes for me....I did some things before all the time that I am not that proud of....Now thanks to my wife and family and hunting and other various activities I have no desire to go out and act a fool like I use too. I still like to party and have a good time but not to the extent I used too...
