Oh yeah! I took the wife for a ride a couple weekends ago! It was a little chilly in the mountains, but nothing unbearable. Where did you get to ride?
D34 talked me outta buying a Harley this year..... maybe in the future. he and a few buddies tease me and say i should get a spyder instead!!!!!!!!
Hit 40 this past weekend. I don't have a bike, but I took the top off the Jeep :D Donuts on the lake are a blast though!
Black line is cool. Been ridin the same ole king for 11 years. Lots of miles on her, but still runs like the day I got her.
yep - never winterized them.... Taking an advanced rider course tomorrow, Marine Corps requires it for all riders 6 month after taking the basic rider course. I missed the dead line by just over 20 years since I took the BRC Sep of 91...they are cracking down and won't renew your base stickers now or I would continue to blow it off. Rainy and 40...should be a blast.
Sorry, no Harley here, if I buy a bike, it's gonna be one of these....With some long-shot straight pipes though, but it'll still be a couple years... Both kids have to be in school before I'm owning a bike..
been out for a few short short rides. Weather has turned cold and wet again for the forseeable future.
I don't have a bike but I would wait until the inch of salt gets washed off the road first. lol Still some snow on the ground yet in places.
Sold all of em when the first child came almost 3 years ago. I rode street bikes for many years., I simply love speed, getting deep in a curve and sitting on the back tire and watching the people in cars almost run me over because as they stare they slowly drift your way...funny thing is, I turned 32 Saturday, was on bikes for over half my life (until 29/30 years old) and have not missed it one bit. I think it is because of the way I rode..wide open al the time. That is not condusive to being a father and husband. We use to joke that my wife has been faster than all the guys bragging about how fast they have been. Get a guy saying he routinely goes 150 or better, and get him on the street. Run it up to about 120, watch him lay on the tank like he is riding moto X, and then drop 2 gears and run it up to about 175 or 180 and ask him where he went once we get to the spot we were heading to. Man those were some good times, but it is a wonder I am here to type this and thankfully me/innocent motorsits were not harmed in my youth. Here was the last one, an 06 GSX-R 600 with an 07 GSX-R 1000 powerplant. man she made some money, especially when they saw that 600 badge. Only one I ever rode (that I owned) that was faster, was an 01 all star edition 600 with a built 750. I had a 80 shot of nitrous, and she would eat. Sorry for the hijack from a non rider, but just thought i would share what used to be a large part of my life.
