Has anyone actually tried this buck call? (mimicing a buck walking in the woods)

    I'm not going to link to the guy because we're in no affiliation whatsoever, I just came across one of his salesy posts on another forum and it looks pretty unique. It's called the complete deer calling system and basically it's a bag you squeeze that mimics the sound of a deer walking in the woods.

    I'm just wondering what you guys think about it or better yet, what someone thinks who has actually used one.

    ::EDIT::

    Seems to me that it would hinder more than help.

    The guy who developed the call posted on bowhunting.com earlier in the month, not a whole lot of response along with posts I've seen on other sites. I think it makes sense, it would make your calling much more realistic sounding. I'd think the bag would be combersome to pack in and have at the ready in hunting situations but it could be worth a try. I doubt if you're going to find many who have tried it, seems like it's pretty much new on the market.

    Here is his post from the Manufacturers forum.....

    http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?30329-The-complete-deer-calling-system

    Here's the questions I have.....

    How do you keep it quiet when walking in an out?
    Would it work by using your feet? i.e. Place it on the stand and use your feet and rattle at the same time.

    I ask the second question because I have tied brush up at the base of the stand and pulled on it to make ground noise while rattling. That ground noise adds another realistic dimension to rattling. The only problem is its too hard to do both at the same time and a product like this may work very well for this.

    Questions about my call

    First I want to thank you for taking time out to look at this new calling concept. The sound of whitetails moving is a huge part of their environment. When they move through the woods deer don't always have the wind in their favor to scent check what's coming. So what's their next defense? If I can teach myself what's moving around my stand without seeing it, I know the animals that live there can tell the difference between a hunter, bear, or other deer. As long as you treat it like your other calls you won't spook them. If they're too close, don't call. The call won't sound off unless you are using it. I keep mine in my backpack then hang it on my bow holder once in my stand. I have also hung it around my neck just like any other call. If it gets squeezed between your body and the tree your in, it may make a sound. But like I said, it won't sound off until it's being used. I have laid it on my stand base and used my foot to keep my hands free to rattle with horns and it works well. The call is smaller than you think, but one foot will do the job. Early in the season this call works great by itself because it's not a sound linked to the rut. It's something they pay attention to on a daily basis, whether it's competition for food or just to see what other deer are in the area. I am excited to see the photo's and stories that will be coming in after this season so then I'm not the only one that knows what this call can do. I hope I answered everyones questions. Thanks again Valentine
