With all the talk about harnesses and what not, I got to thinking.
What brand of stands have you bought that the supplied harness was workable?
I bought a Muddy stand and found that the one they include is very usable, so much so that I keep it in my truck in case Myself, a buddy forget one or one is deemed unfit.
It's not as fast to put on or as nice as my gorilla but it works.

Thinking about using it on my deep set where I gotta walk an hour, the g-tac ain't that heavy but it's got bulk and I carry a small pack.

So have you found any that work?
And do you have a spare?

I have a Muddy that came with a stand that was given to me. I like it. But really, I have several "Big Game" stands that came with the cheap black harness with the silver strap on top. I use that one almost every time. So often that I don't even know I have it on any more? I would like to buy a nice one, but I just don't feel I need to yet.

There all useable. Most of them that come with the stands are just a pain to put on. I used one of those black one that come with the big game tree stands for two years. I actually don't mind them at all. I have since bought a good one just because there easier to put on.

I use the one that came with my Summit Vipor climbing stand. It has worked well so far and I don't find it difficult to put on. It is rather plain but it works.

I use a tree spider but the Lone Wolf harness that came with my Hang On was nice and I ended up giving it to a friend.

Any of the ones that come with your stand will keep you alive, but I prefer the Muddy harness for it's ease of use.

After about a week of trying that on out it kinda replaced my gorilla, it's more cumbersome to get into but it's lighter, less bulk and it doesn't make my shoulders cold like the gorilla.
I'll make the gorilla the tree stand work harness.

I love my Gorilla harness. It may be heavier, but it will be way more comfortable when your hanging below your stand :)

I use a Tree Spider micro harness and love it. The one that came with my summit viper was good to me.

Hunter safety system, bowhunter model. I don't even notice wearing it and it's quick to put on. I was hunting with my brother the other day and he was like "you wear one of those?" I said "ya, Im not going to survive 4 combat deployments and die falling out of a tree!" I have a couple walmart brand black webbing types that came with a ladder stand I keep as spares but I've never used them. Keep trying to give them to a buddy that doesn't wear one.
