I've got a irritating harness that came with a hang-on big dog treestand and it sux! I saw littleshooter's thread about his strap and it made me think about my piece of crap. what is in your opinion the best tree safety system on the market from a hunters point of view?

I'm leaning towards the Muddy harness if and when I can come up with $120 extra bucks. Money is pretty tight right now, LOL! Right now I'm using freebies like yourself.

I use a Hunters Safety System. Works awesome, but if the muddy harness was around when I bought mine, I'd have went that route. It seems as easy to hook up with out all the added weight of the vest material.

Muddy no doubt. I switched to one, after not being happy with my HSS.

I have been using a SOP harness for the last 5-6 years and don't see me switching. I like it because its simple and doesn't interfere with any of my clothing. Sure, it can be a tangle mess, especially after I wash it, but other than that, if you take it off and hold it by the tether, its good.

I had a HSS vest and didn't like it. Something about having those big seat belt buckles just didn't sit well with me.

I use the old style SOP harness. I have no complaints.

In the dark it can be a bit of game figuring out which way goes where but it usually takes me just a few seconds to put it on.

I started with a SOP. I went to the HSS pro mesh. I now have the muddy......for a reason.

    Good luck.
