My Problem is and has been for years .I see my deer on my land come out of a thick alder swamp with few tree's to climb of good size.I have scouted this area before and can't fiqure a strategy out for this area . I think it's to late to install a ground blind and I don't really want to stir up my deer if this is a bedding area. How do I approach this . Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks xring300

Get a hang on if there's no good trees on the edge of the area for a climber or setup a ground blind and wait a few weeks before you hunt it.

If you have a good spot for a ground blind, use one. The key to using them is to brush them in really well to break up the outline. Just plopping a ground blind down and expecting deer not to care is a mistake a lot of people make. They don't bother turkeys, but deer hate them.

So, use a ground blind and brush it in very well.

and or a quick in and out... natural ground blind won't disturb them... get tucked into some thick stuff, clean it out enough to move quielty and draw your bow..

Well said dan its alot harder to post up a ground blind in a deers back yard with out him knowing... I hunt a cyprus swamp break down in louisiana and im not sure if they will react the same in WI but you could give this a try.... i look for the thickest nastest thickets in the swamp and set up on the outer edge depending on the wind... Big bucks love to hang out in about 2- 3 foot of water in the swamps as well i have killed a few bucks in my swamp that looked like i should have been duck hunting they had so much water around me hope this advice gives you some confidence.... best of luck
