I'm having a remarkable Easter Sunday that I'll always remember. My 91yo father (a WWII disabled vet) is very close to death. He's been unconscious and unresponsive for a week now and his vital signs are barely flickering. This morning, my wife and I had a little Easter service for him at his bedside in the Veterans' Center. I read Matthew 27 and 28. I then put my tablet near him and queued up the acapella group Glad singing "And Can It Be". During the song, Dad opened his eyes for a few moments, letting us know that he'd heard all this. He'll be gone soon, but I'll remember this moment forever. Happy Easter everyone. He is risen.
