Nope, it's a living human at conception. What you mean to say is that it doesn't deserve to live until it can survive separate from the mother.
True. But it can survive unattached from it's mother. Other people can raise it. Other people can provide for it. Before that, it cannot survive separate from it's mother. It has to be part of her.
Would you change your mind if medical technology advances to the point they could C-section and keep a baby alive at say 10 weeks from conception? It could happen. Then we could say it is ok to kill the baby in the mother, but once born you could not.
No it's not a part of the mother. It's a totally separate life form. It's blood could even be incompatible with the mother. You might be justified in calling the relationship parasitical.
first, I'm not arguing my stance, as I've already stated I'm entirely too conflicted on this but to answer your question, yes, and I would imagine the majority of pro choice supporters would feel the same way
Why does society really look down on a pregnant women smoking and drinking during pregnancy but abortion is OK? Isn't that her body? How do pro-choice feel about women doing that? I just have these questions in my head.
Well, I can honestly say when it comes to abortion I am firmly in the camp thats its a life, period. It really irked me after the newtown shootings that the president shed his crocodile tears about the loss of children, while at the same time, I would venture to say more kids were killed in abortion clinics in CT on that day then in the school. It doesn't make either right and both instances make me sick. I have two small boys and believe in the sanctity of all human life. It bothers me that a liberal will cry over eating meat or animals, yet when it comes to killing unborn kids they are fine with it. I always like to ask this question to pro-choice people. If a state allows a mother to choose to terminate a life, why do those same states turn around a convict a killer of double homicide if he kills a pregnant woman.
You may not have meant to say that, but that's what you said. Let me point out to you again that it is a living human being at conception. During the Middle Ages and for some time afterward, it was believed that the baby became alive at "quickening," that is when the mother felt movement. Surely you're beyond that kind of medieval thinking.
My daughter became a parasite at 8 months and almost killed my wife. We had to have an emergency c section. If I were to show you pictures of her when she was born, you would have never thought she would ever walk, much less be the dancer she is today. She was breach and her legs looked like a frog. Sorry for the side bar, the parasite got me. My wife affectionately calls my daughter a parasite. This is an emotional subject for me and I do pray that abortion ends some day. This is just an indicator of where medical science is today, nothing more and nothing less. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
It's an emotional topic for my wife and me too. You may have read her little story earlier. When I get on this kind of discussion, I start a slow burn at the clever responses of the pro-abortion people. I have to be careful what I say. It's probably about time for me to check out.
Ok lets pass a law banning Abortion Now how exactly are we going to take care of these kids? I bet majority of them being born are going to come from low income families. Who's paying for the birth? The child's education? Now we have more kids without fathers and our father issues is even worse than before. Should we setup a special adoption agency to handle these situations? Now lets get real, who is going to want to adapt kid from two idiots who were not smart enough to use birth control and come from low income families? The gene pool is not the greatest and chance of hitting the recessive gene lottery is slim here. Would anyone here take a baby in from a crack ***** and raise it as your own? my honest answers is no, I worked too hard raising my own kids. I planned, saved and sacrificed a lot to have them. When I met my wife that was one of the main attributes that attracted me to her, I knew what a fantastic mother she would be. We cannot even help the kids in trouble we have now, 20% live in poverty, our schools in poorest communities are terrible. Right now today kids are being born with "baby daddies" at an alarming rate. So how do we solve these issues and make sure we stop killing unborn children so those kids have a chance?
Perhaps people would take more precautions knowing they can't just go to the doctor to fix the problem like they can now.
Those are side bar issues that should be addressed on their own but there are many potential adoptive parents out there. This should never be used to justify killing innocent children. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
Today we have people still drinking and driving with all the data in the world on what is going to happen. Kids still start smoking when we know it's going to kill you. I put it this way, I don't have much faith some will smarten up and use precautions.
