Catholics are the ones that are against birth control but they really aren't. They do believe in using a woman's cycle and you can always pull out.

That being said, the church is against it and it is their right but many of the individuals choose to use ither forms if birth control.

If ask for advice on this subject I would try and sway them not to abort. Since I believe government should stay out of people lives, then I don't support a law.

I am against them, no matter what! I had a girlfriend once that was all for them. we got to talking about it one day, and she said, "what if I got raped, and got pregnant''? I told her there are a ton of people out there who would like to adopt the baby in a heart beat!! Lets just say that that didnt go over very well....

I have sort of a weird stance on abortion. I must say im mostly pro choice with no kids , but the wife and I are trying to have our first. I wouldn't want my wife to ever get an abortion unless her life was endangered during the pregnancy and she feels the same way. That being said I don't think its my place to tell other people what to do or how to think when it comes to abortion. Basically if you are in my face about being pro life or pro choice I will find an argument either way to disagree with you. I find it funny also whenever you see some government panel making decisions on women's health its all men and no women on the panel.

I think Germ was getting to the personal choice side of it, you wouldn't want the goverment telling you what food to eat, what job you had, where you live, or any other personal aspect of your life. Take smoking, they've made it so you can hardly do that anywhere in public but if they come in and say you can't do it in your own home is too much. That's a personal choice that people make, everyone knows its bad health wise but should it be illegal for me to light up in my own house.

As far as murder that's where this argument begins when to do decide a fetus is a person?

If you argue that is life, is it ok to turn off life support on someone who is brain dead?

Considering I (and family) made that decision 1 year ago for my mother, yes.

She was being kept alive ARTIFICIALLY. She died a couple hours later of natural causes.

A baby is not, unless it is ARTIFICIAL insemination. Which is a different subject all together.

Actually you made my point. The word artificial being used before or after could also have a huge bearing.

A baby in the womb is being kept alive naturally. Out of the womb, it is being kept alive as well. They are still unable to care for themselves.

So if a mother does something to cause a miscarriage should she be tried for murder? If it only takes four days afterwards for the growing to begin most go at least a month before beginning to think they're pregnant. Sometimes things are done inadvertently that cause a miscarriage so by the above picture they also commited murder?

    No. If it's inadvertent.

Purposely trying to create a miscarriage is crossing a line but maybe not murder.

Why? To have a abortion is murder, so every miscarriage should be investigated to see if the mother is at fault. Or is it different because its not willingly ending a pregnancy?

Btw I'm not really for or against more of the I don't care. Just asking questions.

It's not like it's that easy to "cause" a miscarriage and they are more common than not. They happen naturally in many cases the woman didn't even know so legislation against it is futile.
