Yes we view them different as a society. But why is their lives less then ours? Because we invented guns and bows? We decided their lives were less important. Ask a deer, Im sure they feels our life is less important. Im not saying thats my rationalization, not saying thats who I make my choice. Just trying to understand why human life is considered so much more valuable then animals. Heck if you think of it like that, we hunters perform more abortions then doctors. But I know, its dumb to think like that. Ill keep my opinion though.

This is true. There is so much bureaucracy involved with adopting a baby from the US. It is actually easier to adopt a baby from outside the states. We need to make it easier to adopt, and maybe even give incentive to people willing to adopt similar to what they do for foster parents.
It's not just a bunch of cells. It's a human. I would like to see abortion illegal with the only exceptions being rape/incest/and health of mother (real health, not made up mental health crap excuses). I would like it to be rare even in the rape circumstances. If a human should die due to rape, let's make it the rapist. I hate that so many young women buy into 'this is a women's right issue' and that anything other than free abortion on demand is a war on women.
The baby is a life ... an innocent one. To snuff it out is to kill an innocent life ... that equates to murder. That being said, I think it is wrong on ALL accounts...and believe me, that is hard for me to say. The baby inside is a life...an innocent one

What are you talking about? I appreciate your honesty, Hook... it sure changes things... No...you were right the first time....YOUR life ....so sad.... God help you with that thought process So having funeral determine if it's a life? Humans have a soul... we have a conscience ...we are not deer, or a rabbit.... I am betting those of you that are for it have been partakers of it ...or are close to those that have one.
Pt, the post I quoted said, or how I took it, that people that are for abortion are against other types of killing but not the killing of a child due to the procedure. I only meant there are people that are anti abortion are also against forms of birth control. The sad thing is there are many unwanted pregnancies and there are grouos out there that are against both abortion and birth control. Granted probably not many but like every topic there are numerous sides and opinions on the subject.
Tony, since I got lumped in the quote, I'll assume I was included in the last part. I haven't partaken in such. Neither has anyone else in my family to my knowledge.

Ha its all good, I didn't take it as being harsh. That's very true about the extremists on any subject, I've always felt if you could weed most of that out some of the issues might not be so relevant and would be able to solve things easier.
