We worry about money too much when "solving" problems.

Yes. I also pay twice a month and every bonus check I make an amount that keeps peoples mom and dads alive and comfortable.(thats not a personal attack on anyone)Its the cost of being in a civilized society. I am no flaming liberal before you go there. However, children and the elderly are different. As long as this country has the money and means to fling million dollar cruise missiles into the sands of the middles east at some terrorist and camels, babies and children should have the right to be cared for. When you get to 18 you are on your own with choices.

regardless of when you believe life begins, the value of an innocent person's life (already Created; not in the hypothetical phase) does and should not ever have a dollar amount attached to it.

That being said- hmmmm....55 million Unborn killed, that's potential tax payers directly removed from the population at about $50k median income, taxed at 39% or appx. $19,500 in lost revenue per Unborn US person per year. The average US worker probably pays taxes at that rate for 20-25 years. VERY rough numbers, but you see where it's going.

On the flip side, even if one were to assume that EVERY aborted Unborn became a ward of the state from birth-18yoa, it would cost appx. $12k per year per person using that $240k figure. So, for those 18 years, that results in a net loss to the tax base of $7500.00 per every aborted Unborn, PLUS the 2-7 years of full time income earned beyond the 18 year "repayment" period. So, it appears it would benefit the Collective more financially to encourage those future taxpayers be Born, even if we have to subsidize the first 18 years of their life.

And I do know one very successful loving couple who have been trying like crazy to adopt a US-born baby for over 6 years. No race, gender, or health restrictions. I know they have spent tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on "the process." They have had absolutely no luck. They would have been much better off trying foreign, but have now spent so much money, it would be starting the process all over again, and they are now approaching middle age. It's very sad.

We agree, but it's not the world we live in. Not just about money, it's about love also. Children need to be loved and wanted.

It's not just about money, it's a piece of the puzzle. I am not talking about tax dollars, I am talking about adapting a kid from a person X you know nothing about and raising the kid. With your money, love and support.

Yep. I was working the other day and had the pleasure of knocking on the door of a tiny mobile home and encountered a sweet older woman and three kids under the age of 10. The place was crammed, but the older woman and kids were all smiling, the place was warm, and the kids seemed to be eating well. I know it sounds weird but I wanted to give all of those little kids a hug and tell them good job.

So a child's life is only worth living if it comes with a promissory note that grantees love, support and money.

That's a tuff piece of rotten tripe to swallow.
How do you plan on selling that to all the happy, health and successful Americans that may have grown up without those things? What's wrong with the fundamental human instinct to struggle and strive for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

That's not the point, I ask are you willing to do those things for a kid that is not yours?

Love is the most important btw.

Love is not as important as life. You can have life without love but love can't take place without life.

Typed about a 100 responses to this one and just can't hit post after. I respect you guys all a ton but I'm too emotionally invested in this one. A handful of you know some of the many sides of this debate that I've personally lived and seen and my views have changed 180 over the past several years because of it.

I'm out guys - Can't wait for warmer weather and access to new property so we can all catch up on stuff we enjoy!

Evidently you wanted your kids. If anyone had taken the life of one you your unborn kids would you have taken that the same as someone taking the life of an unwanted unborn child? Wanting or not wanting a child does not change the fact that it is a human living child. Taking its life is wrong.

Has anyone seen anything on the March against abortion on any news source other than Fox.

Apparently there were thousands who braved the cold to march.
